Case Study: Marketing messaging and localised sales collateral for direct and channel sales
Revenue Retriever is an innovative software solution which helps the owners of veterinary practices to tackle misbilling and recover substantial lost revenues.
Background
While they were developing the software and testing it with their first customers, marketing for Revenue Retriever had been low-key. However, as the success of the software became apparent, they needed to create a more polished appearance and provide sales tools to support a new global partner.
They asked us to develop sales messages that focused on senior decision makers at large veterinary groups, and to rework their website with new texts and visuals. We went on to develop a customer support site, created product demos and produced other sales and support videos.

A completely refreshed website
Working with the existing branding and key design elements, we developed a fresh new look for the website. This included imagery that would appeal to their target audience as well as carefully selected product visuals.
We structured the site and developed the messaging to focus on the most important issues faced by senior decision makers at large veterinary groups. We wrote entirely new texts for the website and ensured the content flow and calls to action were optimised for converting leads.
It can be hard to understand how a product like this will work in practice, so we created a short introductory video to position it against the key customer challenges and showcase the solution.
Given where this video is being used within the customer’s journey, we made sure it is fast paced, providing plenty of key details and showing off the product, while leaving the customer wanting to find out more.
We also planned and scripted a longer, live demo for use in calls with customers. This included variants for different customer scenarios. We provided this for their staff and also supported them by delivering the demo in numerous sales calls.

Localising website, videos and support content
Revenue Retriever has a compelling proposition for international veterinary groups and for larger customers around the world. To strengthen their appeal in key markets, reduce barriers to adoption by veterinary staff and present a strong, global brand, we worked with them to plan and deliver localisation of the product support materials and marketing.
We explored using AI for translation, ultimately choosing the higher quality option of human translators, supported by their own machine translation tools. We localised first the support documents and website, then created translated versions of several product videos, with new voiceovers and the translated UI for each language.
Revenue Retriever has partnered with the veterinary practice management system, Provet Cloud. Their sales team were very enthused about Revenue Retriever, with teams in Europe and North America very keen to promote it alongside their own software.
We discussed the most appropriate ways of reaching and supporting their salespeople, and created several documents including sales FAQs, fresh edits of the video and other resources.

Results
